“We received a scholarship for our daughter’s daycare tuition this past

cycle. I have been trying to write something up to convey my gratitude for

this assistance and continue to feel as though I am falling short with my

words.

Our 2-year-old daughter who attends Blessed Beginnings Oro Valley (BBOV), has been absolutely thriving since she started. She is a social butterfly and talks every day

about whether she will be going to see her “church friends” (Sundays) or her

“regular friends” (T/W/Th). This past year has been and still is difficult

in regard to my health, and my son also had a stint in the hospital. I was

concerned that we would no longer be able to bring her to BBOV due to these

unexpected expenses, and as a teacher I know how important it is for

children to have consistency. Not to mention, she has built up quite the

community of friends- even for her young age! We also appreciate how amazing

literally every single staff member is, and how secure the facility is.

Being that my husband is in law enforcement, this is especially important to

him. When we realized there was an opportunity to apply for this

scholarship, we did so with the hope of keeping her there. Needless to say,

we love it here and are so very grateful to your organization for the

Assistance.

At the time, we were not regularly attending church, and it was important to

us to respect this request. Not to mention, it is something we had already

been planning to do. I am happy to say that we have since been attending

every week, and are grateful that we have been nudged to bring Christ into

our family on a regular basis (and the blessings that has brought us). So,

thank you for that as well.

We hope that another family is able to receive the blessing of your gift

that we have been given, and we hope to be able to pay it forward someday.”

To the Members of The Joy Foundation,

My son has been enrolled at Blessed Beginnings for almost a year. We were new to Arizona coming from Texas before enrolling. When came for a tour we immediately fell in love with the school. We enrolled Dru in 4 days a week 8-12am. That was a tight budget for us, just moving here and trying to get back on our feet. They then put out information for the scholarship program, and we took advantage and applied. We were awarded $200 off our tuition, in the first half of school. I cannot tell you how much that meant to us it actually meant us being able to keep my son in school. He loves the school, and it would have been devastating had we not been able to keep him in. My husband and I have since separated right when the renewal application came out for the second half of school. I cannot tell you how truly grateful I am that I was awarded $400 off. When my husband left, he quit paying everything. He has very little contact with us, and without the scholarship that The OpJOY Foundation provides, my son would have lost the only constant in his life at that time. School has always been the one thing my son has looked forward to. When we first started, he used to cry on the weekends and cry on Wednesday when he couldn’t go to school to see his teachers or his friends. People walk up to my son everyday tell me how impressed they are that at his age he’s so articulate, and well-mannered he is. He just attended a Vacation Bible School Wednesday of this week, for kids ages first grade and up, all of the crew leaders and adults at the VBS we're so impressed that he was able to sit down and had the same attention span as kids older than him. I can honestly say that is all thanks to the school. I'm not sure there are enough words and ways I can explain to you how grateful I am that The OpJOY Foundation puts out scholarships for families to put their child in a school that they feel safe and has the quality education. You guys have given me and my son a way I can put my son where I feel completely safe when I'm gone trying to make us a better life here in a relatively new state.
